The Service
What is På(fyll)?
På(fyll) is a service that makes it easier for you to live more environmentally friendly by reducing the use of single-use plastic. We deliver everyday products, such as soap from well-known brands like Lano, Klar, Zalo and OMO, in reusable containers to your doorstep. When you need a refill, you simply order a new one, and we collect the empty containers when we deliver the refill, clean them, refill them and use them again. A bit like the milkman.
How does På(fyll) work?
På(fyll) works in such a way that you order the everyday products you need for cleaning and personal care. We deliver the products to your home in containers that can be used over and over again. The products are delivered in specially designed containers of 900 ml or 2100 ml, depending on the product. When you need a refill, we pick up the containers, clean them, refill, and deliver again.
What is meant by På(fyll)?
We named the service På(fyll) from the act of refilling and the refill itself. The word "på" - meaning 'on' - also indicates that the containers are easy to stack and reuse. Our goal is to deliver everyday products in a simple and more sustainable way, and to make good choices a little more accessible. In the long run, we hope to be able to deliver refills of everything you use a lot of at home.
Who is behind På(fyll)?
På(fyll) is a result of collaboration between Orkla, Æra, and Bakken & Bæck. Together, the companies wanted to make it easier to live more environmentally friendly and reduce the use of single-use plastic, without cutting the products you need every day.

Products
Which products does På(fyll) offer?
We currently offer products from well-known Norwegian brands such as Zalo, Lano, Omo and Klar. These are products for cleaning, laundry, and handwashing that work well, smell good, and feel good. In the long run, we hope to be able to offer all your household favorites.
Are there more products coming?
The short answer is: Yes! We are still in the start-up phase and we started with Zalo, Lano, Omo and Klar, but will be able to offer more products in the future. If you have any specific requests, please send them to us in an email or on social media.
Why don't you have fragrance-free products?
This is something we want to offer and are working on being able to offer in the long term. Even if our containers are rinsed and washed thoroughly when they are returned, there may be traces of perfume. Many people who use fragrance-free products do so because they are allergic to perfume. Therefore, we must be absolutely sure that we find a good solution so that those who cannot tolerate perfume can safely buy perfume-free refills.
Here we have to test and explore a lot on how we solve it. Therefore, we don't know when we can offer it yet.
Container
What is a På(fyll) container?
A På(fyll) container is a reusable container (900 ml and 1200 ml) with a screw cap. They are easy to pour from, easy to store, and made to be used again and again for many years to come. The containers are also designed so they can be easily stacked in various ways and are user-friendly.
We are building a system that allows the containers to be used for many years to come. This means that they are only on loan, and we need them back for the system to work.
In this article you can read more about the design and the idea behind the container..
What can be used as a dispenser?
In everyday life, we recommend that you use smaller bottles that you already have, for example, a hand soap dispenser. However, remember to clean the dispenser before you refill it with new products. Our containers are designed so that you can easily transfer the products to pump or spray bottles.
You can simply pour the contents of the På(fyll) container into smaller dispensers that you can have on display. Maybe you already have some nice dispensers at home that you can reuse? You can put the container away until you need to refill the dispenser again.
During Autumn 2023, we will be able to offer På(fyll) dispensers.
What is the container made of?
The container itself is made of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) while the cap is made of Polypropylene (PP).

Sustainability
How is På(fyll) more sustainable than single-use plastic?
We continuously work on how we can make the service even better and more environmentally friendly. We have therefore chosen to deliver the products through Helthjem, an already existing collective transport for parcel deliveries that delivers newspapers, magazines, and packages all over the country. But doesn't the gain get negated considering transportation?
We continuously work on how we can make the service even better and more environmentally friendly. Therefore, we have chosen to deliver the products through Helthjem, an already existing delivery service that delivers newspapers, magazines, and packages all over the country. In this way, we do not burden the environment any further.
Circular Economy
What do you mean when you say På(fyll) is a circular service?
På(fyll) is a circular service since the products are delivered in reusable containers, which are designed to be easily used again and again. When they are worn out, they can be recycled and thus become new containers. In this way, we ensure the plastic's almost eternal life and help you reduce the use of single-use plastic.
