Answers to all your På(fyll) return questions
15. april | AV PÅ(FYLL)™
På(fyll) is delivered home to you. But what do you do when you run out of soap? We've gathered all the big questions about how to package and send away a return from home.
Do I need to wash the På(fyll) container before returning it?
No, we take care of that! Once the container is returned to us, it goes through a cleaning system before it's ready for the next refill. Just make sure you screw the lid on tightly before packing it up and sending it back; this ensures it's secure and ready for transport.
How do I pack a return?
If you ordered a new refill at the same time as you booked your return, you'll receive the delivery before you need to send the old containers back. You can then pack your return in the same box the new products arrived in—that's why we call our box a one-loop box.
If you didn't order new products, you can pack the return in the box you received your first På(fyll) in. You can also use another cardboard box as long as the dimensions do not exceed 35x25x12 cm.
Do I need to mark the return before setting it out?
Yes, you need to write the return code on the box before handing it over. Write the return code clearly on the box you’re using. It's essential to remove or mark over the old delivery label, otherwise, it can cause confusion in the system and the return may not be processed correctly. You’ll receive the return code via email when you book the return, and it might look something like this: S-L3NMT.
Do I need to be home for the return?
You don't! We pick up your return in the morning, so you don't need to be home (or even awake).
My container is damaged—do I still need to return it?
The short answer: Yes.
The long answer: Containers with major damage, meaning damage that prevents them from being reused, will be recycled and turned into new containers. Minor scratches, such as scuffs or nicks that don’t break the seal, give the container character. Each container travels to as many homes as possible before it gets recycled, and we think it’s pretty cool when the containers aren’t perfect—it’s a testament to På(fyll)’s circularity.
That’s why we want all the containers back, so they can continue their life cycle, becoming new containers.
How do I book a return?
You can do this by either scanning the QR code on the side of your På(fyll) container or visiting påfyll.no/return. Follow the steps to book a return date. You can also book a return when ordering new På(fyll) products. This is done at checkout before you finalize your order.

Do I automatically get a new refill when I return?
No, you order the refill yourself. Every household is different and cleans at its own pace. That’s why På(fyll) is designed so that you decide when you want more refills—no subscriptions or commitments. You can order by scanning the QR code on the side of the container you already have, or through the online store at påfyll.no/nettbutikk.
Do I have to pay for the return?
The return is included in the experience! You don’t have to pay anything extra to send the containers back.
Will I not need a return label?
No, you use the pickup code you’ll receive when booking a return.
Write this clearly on the box and make sure to remove the old delivery label completely to ensure the logistics work properly for the courier.
Where should I leave the return?
The general rule is to place the box in the mailbox if you live in a house or on the doormat if you live in an apartment. If you’re unsure, you can check at helthjem.no.
If the box doesn’t fit in the mailbox, you can place it near your mailbox or on the mailbox stand. This way, the pickup courier can easily spot it and access it for return.
