Meet our PR & Communication Advisor, Anne Marte
Hi Anne Marte! How did you end up at På(fyll)?
I have worked many years in the advertising industry, jumping from client to client and project to project. For a long time, I've had an itch to really own and be part of building a brand over time. I've particularly been attracted to innovative Norwegian startups. I've simply been sitting on the sidelines, watching for the opportunity to join a Norwegian startup adventure. På(fyll) is perhaps one of the most exciting startups I could have ended up in!
What is the most exciting thing about working at På(fyll)? What gets you up in the morning?
It's no secret that we use far too much of the Earth's resources. After many years on "the dark side" (i.e., advertising), I have contributed to this overconsumption. At På(fyll), however, I am helping to pave the way for an entirely new way of shopping and doing business. A way that takes care of our resources and challenges the very system modern commerce is built on. It's demanding – and fun!
What does a typical workday look like for you at På(fyll)?
Unlike most other workplaces, we neither have set working hours nor a fixed workplace. Therefore, my day can start very early at the breakfast table, closer to lunch on a bad day, at the Oslo office when I miss people, or in France – if it suits me. This freedom is a luxury I wish everyone could have! In many ways, Slack is our actual office, and I spend a lot of time there. Regardless, I usually start the day by catching up on the day's news. Otherwise, it's about talking to partners and planning PR opportunities further ahead. An important part of my job is also talking to the other På(fyll)ers, both colleagues and customers, to pick up exciting stories.
What's the absolute best thing about På(fyll) in your opinion?
It has to be that we're helping to make the world a better place.
