This week we are checking in with our talented Product Designer: Ambar!
Hey @ Ambar! Tell us, how did you end up joining På(fyll)?
I had previously worked with the CTO who told me about På(fyll)'s mission. Based on that I knew I had to be a part of it. So, when the product designer role opened up, I didn't waste a second and applied. Lucky for me, they saw my potential and hired me!
What is the most exciting thing about working with På(fyll)? What get's you up in the morning?
I’m based in Berlin, so I think it’s very exciting to be a part of this incredible Nordic circular service organization. We're on a mission to kick single-use plastic waste to the curb and give our precious planet a well-deserved helping hand. That's what gets me fired up every morning.
So we are curious. How would you describe a typical day working at På(fyll)?
Well, since we're a remote-first company, our communication happens mostly online. Every day is a new adventure, thanks to our quarterly aims, weekly goals, and daily objectives. We're all in this together, so we make sure to stay aligned when needed. As the designer, my day involves collecting data, digging into insights, researching where possible, and using design thinking to fill those product gaps. I also spend time creating valuable design assets, crafting user journeys, and sketching wireframes. It's a whirlwind of creativity.
What's the best thing about På(fyll)?
My colleagues. They are the real deal—inspiring, hardworking, and incredibly passionate. We all share the same values, putting the planet and people before profit. It's an incredible feeling to face this challenge together and make a positive impact.
